Colorado’s Rocky Mountain majesty surrounds campers in this lovely spot, spread along the banks of the Crystal River and at the foot of 12,965-foot Mount Sopris. Formerly known as BRB Crystal River Resort, it’s now a KOA. Many sites nudge right along the half mile of riverfront, including roomy RV Sites and fully equipped Cabins. This KOA lies between the resort areas of Aspen and Glenwood Springs. Hiking, hunting, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, jeep tours, golf and fly-fishing are favorite activities.

Mountain View RV Resort is located in the Heart of the Royal Gorge Region, less than 7 miles west of Canon City, on Highway 50 West. It is the ideal base camp for any of the nearby attractions, including the Royal Gorge Bridge & and Park, Rafting, Zip-line, Fishing, Hunting, Photography excursions, Hiking, Horseback riding, and many others.

#2 Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort

Since 2002 Mountaindale has been making some incredible transformations. They have been tunneling through the ground to upgrade plumbing that can withstand cold winters, as well as beefing up the electricity to accommodate the most advanced recreational vehicles. One of the most noticeable differences that sets mountaindale apart from the other RV sites is the size of their campsites. Nearly all their sites are 40ft wide and 55ft long, which allow people to fit the largest RV’s money can buy!
Some of the amenities they offer are:

- They can accommodate almost any size vehicle
- Large fenced dog park
- Large recreation room with a big screen TV and fireplace
Mountaindale has some of the best reviews on the web currently. People are raving that this place has it all. Coming in at number 1 is the Mesa Verde RV Resort. It was given 10 out of 10 by The Good Sam Club for appeal, facilities, and restrooms. Owners Mike & Liz have created and RV Resort dedicated of its guests. Located in Southwest Colorado, Mesa Verde is simply the best rated resort in the area (just ask Google). Mesa Verde RV Resort makes a perfect spot for exploration not only of Mesa Verde, but for exploring other cultures and sites in the area as well. Some of the amenities they offer are:
- Having the cleanest bathrooms out of any RV park in the state
- Being pet friendly
- Having free WIFI
- 24/7 Laundry facilities
- 2 Hot tubs and a heated pool
- Gas powered grill and fire pits available
Having bathrooms that are rated 10 out of 10 may not seem like a big deal, but trust us if you’ve been camping before and have been around a septic tank or port-o-potti that hasn’t been emptied in months, you’ll be jumping for joy to see the condition of the Mesa Verde facilities. They also have some of the most competitive pricing out of all the RV sites in Colorado and take big rigs if you got em! Definitely a place we would recommend checking out.
